iPhone XS Max Touch function doesn't work- Hardware solution

After the iPhone XS Max is turned on, touch the screen, the iPhone XS Max touch screen doesn't respond, the iPhone XS Max touch function doesn't work at all. We restart the iPhone XS Max, and try it again, the iPhone XS Max touch screen still not working. And then we tried several software solutions, the iPhone touch function still doesn't work. Now we are going to check hardware problem and find a hardware solution.

Shut down the iPhone XS Max, use screwdriver to remove the screw at the bottom of the screen, put iPhone XS Max on the CPB screen separator for heating, and then use LCD sucker and pry tool to open the iPhone XS Max.

At first, we try to fix it by replacing the iPhone XS Max touch screen. Remove the iPhone XS Max display assembly, and then install a new screen. However, after testing, the iPhone XS Max touch function still doesn't work.

Remove the iPhone XS Max display assembly, disconnect the iPhone battery, and then take out the iPhone XS Max motherboard.

Put iPhone XS Max motherboard on the Mijing CH5 heating platform to separate the motherboard layer, after heating for a while, use tweezers to remove the iPhone XS Max upper layer, and then lower layer.

Observing the iPhone XS Max motherboard with microscope, there is no obvious fault. Measure the iPhone XS Max logic board with digital multimeter, when measured 244 Pin, there is no resistance value. Continue to measure the 245 Pin and 246 Pin, they all has no resistance value.

Log into the ZXW online account to check iPhone XS Max schematic diagram, we found these pins are related to U2900. Now we can confirm it's the problem of the U2900, the U2900 is virtual-welded.

Put iPhone XS Max motherboard on the SS-601K PCB fixture, and then use hot air gun to remove the U2900. Reballing the U2900, and then install it back the motherboard.

Now use Fluke 17B+ digital multimeter to measure the iPhone XS Max, now the data measured is normal. Use MJ CH5 to assemble the iPhone XS Max motherboard, and then assemble the iPhone XS MAX.

Press the power button to turn on the iPhone XS Max, and test the touch function, now the iPhone XS MAX touch function is working properly, the problem has been solved!
